Established in 2016, THE OX TAVERN is the second rendition of Ditmas Park’s beloved “Ox Cart Tavern.” In addition to the legendary burgers that were already a neighborhood favorite, The Ox Tavern’s menu is now influenced by a spectrum of international cuisines and a vivacious new cocktail menu created by new owners Ariel Mojica and Chef Julio Salazar.

These two gentlemen met while working at some of the most prestigious bars and restaurants in the gastronomic industry. Julio has headed many kitchens in the New York area and has drawn from various diverse cooking styles, but he draws most of his inspiration from his home country, Ecuador. He looks to introduce the flavors that he was fondest of growing up, to the concrete jungle in NYC. Ariel has taken his experience as a bartender at the best cocktail bars in NYC and added his own style and flair. He hopes to bring his crafty cocktail ideas to his favorite neighborhood bar in Brooklyn.
